In good condition here is a beautiful antique copy of The Poems and Plays of Oliver Goldsmith. Published in 1887 by Frederick Warne & Co., London in their Lansdowne Poets series. In a lovely green binding and with black and white illustrations inside.
Contains a memoir of Goldsmith, poems plus the play She Stoops to Conquer and the novel The Vicar of Wakefield.
Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with just some light spotting to the early pages and the frontispiece tissue guard. With the very occasional handling mark. Has a prize book plate on the front paste down dated Christmas 1890 but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With a portrait frontispiece and eight further black and white illustrated plates. Shiny gilt edged on all sides.
In a beautiful green binding. Cloth covered boards have gilt and black stamped decoration to the front and spine and blind stamping to the back board. All in top order. With a little rubbing to the cloth at the corner tips and a few light marks on the back. The gilt has just rubbed and dulled a little but still looking extremely eye-catching on display.
Your antique copy of The Poems and Plays of Oliver Goldsmith will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to include a gift card and message if desired.
H 19 cm x W 13 cm, 482 pages, 0.56 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. (There are just a very few countries which I am unable to ship to).
* If you would prefer for your book not to be decoratively wrapped but sent simply in the full protective packaging please add a note to the order.
