In very good condition, here is a lovely antique copy of The Miniature Fruit Garden or, The Culture of Pyramidal and Bush Fruit Trees With Instructions For Root Pruning by Thomas Rivers. Published in 1867 by Longmans, Green, Reader and Dyer of London. A slim volume, but packed with information and line drawn illustrations.

A classic Victorian horticultural manual focused on cultivating fruit trees in small spaces through pyramidal, bush, and cordon forms. It remains one of the most influential 19th‑century guides to intensive fruit culture, especially for pears, plums, and apples.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has a faint, small, neatly-inked inscription at the top of the title page, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Slight spotting along the closed top edge.

Red cloth over boards have ornate blind-stamped decoration to the front and spine, and gilt titles. Again in very good order. A few light marks to the boards - but minor. A little rubbing to the corners and spine ends - again minor. A very smart copy.

Your antique copy of The Miniature Fruit Garden will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message to the parcel.
