1970 Vintage Set of The Bronte Sister's Novels - Illustrated

Looking absolutely stunning as a set on display. Comprising a collection of novels by the Bronte sisters. Here are five lovely vintage hardbacks:

Jane Eyre, Villette and Shirley by Charlotte Bronte. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte.

Published between 1966 and 1970 by Heron Books of London in their Literary Heritage series. Very attractive in dark blue faux leather with gilt and with black and white illustrations (see photos). In excellent condition, with just the occasional very faint mark on the boards - but minor. Otherwise clean, bright and un-faded with sparkly bright gilt.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or markings of previous ownership. The pages of Shirley are slightly more tanned than the other volumes. With pale blue and gold decorative endpapers and with blue place ribbon markers sewn in. Several of the volumes are richly illustrated in black and white by different artists (see photos).
