1970 Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens in Two Volumes - Illustrated Vintage Books

In very good condition, here is a lovely two-volume de-luxe edition of Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens. PLEASE NOTE - the Stories collection is a compilation of Dickens' later Christmas short stories. These were written after his longer Christmas novellas and so this selection does NOT include A Christmas Carol. Undated, but would have been published by Heron Books, London in 1970 as part of their Centennial Edition. There were two versions published, the standard edition, and this the de-luxe version in lovely soft faux calf leather. More details below.

Inside the pages are very good being clean, bright and tightly bound. Neither volume has been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership. Has decorative endpapers. With black and white illustrations. The top closed edges are gilt.

In a beautiful binding of soft maroon-brown faux-leather backed boards, with ornate gilt decoration to the fronts and spines. Just a few light scuffs to the spine, otherwise in top order, with sparkly gilt. Looking extremely eye-catching.
