1922 The Tenant of Wildfell Hall & Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte / JM Dent & Sons, London / 12 Delightful Colour Plates by Edmund Dulac / Unread

In very good condition here is a lovely antique, leather bound, illustrated copy of two novels: The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, plus also Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte. Published in 1922 by JM Dent & Sons, London. With twelve superb colour plates by Edmund Dulac. In a fine leather binding. Many of these pages are still un-cut along the edges. This indicates the book will have never been read. I have left the pages un-cut so the new owner can experience the joy of opening them. They can be opened with a sharp knife or letter opener.

Dent & Sons produced six novels in their "Novels of Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte" series of which this was number five. Hence the "5" on the spine. 

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Has some spotting to the closed outside edges. Opens onto marbled endpapers. All twelve colour plates are present and in super condition. The top edge is shiny gilt. 

In a fine blue leather binding with gilt trim and blue cloth covered boards. All in top order - clean and smart. The spine has five raised bands with ornate gilt decoration in the compartments and red Moroccan leather title and author plates. The blue on the outer spine having faded just a little in comparison to the sides. The top rear corner has had a very slight bump.
