1913 Vanity Fair Antique Book: Limited Edition, Signed, Illustrated, Vellum Binding

By far the best copy of Vanity Fair, in this gorgeous edition, that I have seen. Beautiful, bright vellum binding - with ribbon ties still present. (Ribbon ties are almost always missing.) Being a limited edition of only 350 copies, all signed by the illustrator Lewis Baumer. This copy is signed and numbered "20". Undated but would have been published in 1913 by Hodder & Stoughton, London. There are twenty illustrations in total.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Tanning and spotting to endpapers and occasional light spotting scattered through the text, including to the pages the plates are tipped-in onto. Top edge gilt, other sides untrimmed.

The vellum, again is in some of the best, bright condition for any copy you'll ever see. There is some brown staining to rear fore-edge and also to a couple of areas on the spine (see photos). The spine also has a faint line down the centre - but minor. Otherwise absolutely fantastic. The front board, with paste down, ornate gilt decoration and spotless vellum is particularly lovely. The ribbon ties, clean and bright.
