1910 Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan : Richly Illustrated by Frank Papé

In very good condition, here is a beautiful antique edition of The Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. Published in 1910 by JM Dent & Co., London. With wonderful decorative boards, twelve colour plates and decoration by Frank Papé.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. No inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. All colour plates are present as called for, and all in excellent order. Top edge is gilt.

Striking pale olive-green cloth over boards have black and gold decoration to the front and spine. Has some rubbing of the cloth around the edges to reveal boards beneath in places (see close-up photos). Rubbing and rounding also to the corners and spine ends. A few faint marks to the back board - but minor. An elegant edition.
