c1910 Little Women by Louisa May Alcott - Antique Art Nouveau Hardback Book

In very good condition, here is a lovely Art Nouveau copy of Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Published by Blackie and Son Limited, London. Undated, but would have been around 1910. With the beautiful, highly distinctive cover design by Ethel Larcombe of the Glasgow School. With four colour plates. Condition in detail below.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With a fair amount of spotting around the outside edges. The odd folded corner. Has an inked inscription on the front free endpaper, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. All four colour plates are clean and bright. The book has developed a mild lean over time.

Blue cloth over boards have bright orange and cream cabbage rose decoration to the front and spine, and gilt titles. With some rubbing and rounding to the cloth on the corners and spine ends. A few light scuffs to the back board. The front board is in very good order - with bright decoration. The colours on the spine have faded a bit in comparison to the front but remain clearly visible and the gilt is bright.
