c1906 The Water Babies by Charles Kingsley - Antique Book

In very good condition, here is a lovely antique copy of The Water Babies by Charles Kingsley. Undated, but would have been published around 1906 by Ward, Lock & Co., London. In attractively decorated boards. Condition in detail below.

Inside the pages have mild scattered spotting through the text, and tanning/spotting to the closed outside edges. Opens and closes with attractive endpapers. Has a black and white frontispiece, else unillustrated. No inscriptions or markings of previous ownership.

Olive-green cloth over boards have pale-green and red floral decoration, and gilt titles. Again in very good order. A little rubbing and rounding to the corners and spine ends. Some light faint marks to the back lower panel. The decoration and gilt titles are bright, and this is a lovely-looking book.
