1950 Emma by Jane Austen - Slipcased Vintage Book

Here is a lovely vintage copy of Jane Austen's Emma. Published in 1950 by Oxford University Press. In the original slipcase box. The book is in excellent condition, the box has some wear - detailed below.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. No writing or inscriptions. Has a red book mark sewn-in. Creases to some early pages, and a fold to a later page. Outside edges are tinted red.

The original 1950s slipcase box has some rubbing around the extremities. Has some rust marks on the top and bottom edges from staples (see photos). It remains strong and sturdy and should continue to protect the book for many more years.
