1910 Shakespeare - New Temple Collection - Complete Antique Set in Bespoke Tabletop Wooden Shelf

I cannot find another set like this one - in a bespoke tabletop wooden shelf - for sale anywhere online. Wonderful for the Shakespeare enthusiast and also making a striking piece of library home decor. Here is an antique set of forty works of William Shakespeare. Published in 1910 by JM Dent and Sons, London in their New Temple Shakespeare Collection. Representing a complete set. In red limp crushed Moroccan leather. Condition in detail below.

The contents of the books are all in top order. Tanning to endpapers. Each has an illustrated frontispiece, thin ribbon marker and gilt top. They have no inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. A few light marks to the fore-edges.

The deep-red leather has some perishing loss to the spine ends (see photos). A little rubbing and wear also along the spine joints. Some of the spines have faded more than others. With a gilt crest to the fronts, and titles to the spines. A few marks to the fronts and backs - but nothing too obtrusive.

The dark wooden table-top shelf is of high quality. It is heavy. Has some rubbing to edges and the odd scuff/scratch - but again minor. Has a small chip to the underside of the shelf on the right-hand side.
