In good condition, here is a charming antique hardback copy of The Ballads and Songs of Robert Burns. Published in 1864 by Charles Griffin & Co., London. With some black and white engraved illustrations, and gilt edged pages.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with just the occasional folded corner and mild scattered spotting. Has no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Has a portrait frontispiece and four further illustrations. Also includes an Index of First Lines. With partially cracked hinges at the front and back, but the binding remains really tight and strong.

Green cloth covered boards have gilt decoration to the front and spine. Again in very good order, clean and un-faded. The gilt is shiny bright.

A lovely edition.
