1860 Choice Garden Flowers - Their Cultivation and General Treatment in All Seasons / With Ten Beautiful Colourful Illustrations / Antique

In good condition, here is a super antique copy of Choice Garden Flowers - Their Cultivation and General Treatment In All Seasons. Undated but this copy was published in 1860 by Houlston and Wright, London. Making it 165 years old! It in no way looks to be of that age. With ten superb colour plates (see photos).

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. Gapes at the gutter in a few places but the binding is extremely strong and tight. With no writing nor any other markings of previous ownership. The ten colour plates are lovely. Four no longer have their tissue guards. All edges are gilt.

Bright red dimpled cloth covered boards have shiny bright gilt decoration to the front and spine. Again in good order. With the odd light mark to the boards. Has some rubbing around the edges, and to corners and spine ends. The red on the spine has darkened a little in comparison to the front and back.
