c1900 Little Women and Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott / Bliss, Sands & Co., London / Antique Book

Here is a lovely vintage edition of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women. Undated but would have been published around 1900 by Bliss, Sands & Co., London. With a black and white frontispiece and gilt topped pages.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or inscriptions. Has mild spotting to the endpapers, a brown blemish to the bottom of the title page and the occasional folded corner. With the frontispiece, else unillustrated. The top closed edge is gilt.

Red boards have gilt decoration to the front and spine. With some fading in a thin strip across the top of the boards and some rubbing on the front in areas to remove a little of the red (see photos). The gilt on the front and spine remains bright, Has some rounding and rubbing to the cloth on the corners and spine ends, with a little fraying to the latter.
