Delighted with this unusual find of a signed first edition sequel to Kenneth Grahame's classic childrens' novel Wind in the Willows. Here is a hardback copy of A Fresh Wind in the Willows by Dixon Scott. Published in 1983 by Heinemann/Quixote Press, London. Richly illustrated by Jonathon Coudrille in the style of EH Shepard's artwork for the original novel (see photos).
The jacket reads: "...in this enchanting and timely sequel, we return to the gentle riverbank world of the early 1900s and meet again that lovable quartet - Toad, Badger, Ratty and Mole - in a new series of spirited adventures. With great skill and loving care, Dixon Scott has recreated the mood, setting and tone of the original. A Fresh Wind in the Willows is more than just a delightful book - it's like meeting old friends."
Inside the contents are in superb condition. Clean, bright and tightly bound. Has the inked author's inscription on the title page but no other writing or markings of previous ownership.
In the original unclipped dust jacket. Also in top order, the only condition points to note being some tanning to across the top of the rear of the jacket and some fading to the spine. Otherwise very smart.
