Emily Bronte's classic novel Wuthering Heights, originally published by The Folio Society of London in 1967. A beautiful, illustrated, hardback book in the original slipcase box. With some wear to the spine ends being the main condition point to note.
The pages are bright, clean and tightly bound. There is absolutely no sign of tanning or foxing. The book has never been written in, and there are no other marks or inscriptions. The top closed edge is tinted dark grey. This version is illustrated with twelve lithographs by Charles Keeping which are a modern and stunning representation of the moods, passions and emotions in this tale (see photos).
Wine red cloth covered boards are also in excellent condition having been well preserved by the slipcase. As mentioned above, there is some rubbing to the spine ends, with a small area of loss at the bottom. Otherwise the decoration on the spine is shiny and bright.
The grey papered slipcase box is also in good condition with just some slight rubbing in places. It is sturdy, clean, and will protect the book for many more years to come.
