1950 The Book of the Flower Fairies, Poems and Pictures by Cicely Mary Barker / Blackie & Son Ltd, London / In Very Good Condition

Those of you that know me will be aware that this is quite simply one of my favourite books. In very good condition here is a beautiful copy of The Book of Flower Fairies, Poems and Pictures by Cicely Mary Barker. Undated but this is a 1950 edition by Blackie & Son Ltd of London. Containing Flower Fairies of Spring, Summer and Autumn, gathered together into one volume with seventy-two stunning colour plates. In very good condition for a vintage book of this age.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. As it was published in 1950 it still has the wartime economy message. With a couple of small nicks to page edges. There is an inked name and address at the top of the front free endpaper, (partially obscured for data protection), but otherwise no other writing or markings of previous ownership. All of the colour plates are present and in excellent condition. The top closed edge is tinted dark green.

In olive-green cloth covered boards which are in top order. With just the slightest of rubbing to corner tips and spine ends, and one tiny faint mark on the back - but all minor.
