In excellent condition here is a beautifully bound antique book. The Romance of Modern Invention: Containing Interesting Descriptions In Non-Technical Language of Wireless Telegraphy, Liquid Air, Modern Artillery, Submarine, Dirigible Torpedoes, Solar Motors, Airships etc. Published by Seeley, Service & Co., Ltd London in 1927. In a full polished leather tree calf binding with gilt dentelles, marbled papers and endpapers and richly illustrated with eleven black and white photos plus diagrams.

Inside the pages are in very good condition being clean and tightly bound. With marbled edges and marbled endpapers. The marbled edges have faded a bit in comparison to the endpapers. There is a prize bookplate on the front free endpaper (Epsom College), but no other writing or markings of previous ownership.
The beautiful polished leather is in superb condition with shiny bright gilt. With just the very odd light scuff. Has the school prize gilt crest in the centre of the front board. The spine has five raised bands and decoration in the compartments. With Moroccan leather title and author plates. Again all in top order. The only condition point to note is a little bit of loss to the leather at the head of the spine.
