1916 Poems of Robert Browning / Humphrey Milford, Oxford University Press, London / Lovely Vellum Decorative Spine / In Good Condition

With a lovely vellum decorative spine, here is a very attractive hardback edition of Poems of Robert Browning. Published by Humphrey Milford for Oxford University Press, London in 1916. In good condition.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With some tanning to the endpapers. Has a prize bookplate dated 1920 on the front paste down (see photos), but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. Gilt edged along the top (with a few light marks). Has a black and white portrait frontispiece, else unillustrated. 

With lovely ornate gilt work on the vellum spine, and dark brown cloth sides. All in good order. Has a small brown mark on the front vellum spine joint near the bottom. Otherwise the vellum spine has just one other faint mark and the decoration remains very bright and attractive. With some rubbing and light bumping to the corners and the odd faint mark to the cloth boards, but minor.
