In lovely condition, here is a beautiful Victorian copy of Roses and Holly - A Gift Book For All the Year. Being a collection of poetry and writings from authors such as: Shakespeare; Dickens; Coleridge; Goldsmith; Dryden; Washington Irving; Bunyan; Wordsworth; Burns and Longfellow amongst many others. Richly illustrated throughout with black and white engravings. In remarkable condition for a book of 157 years old.

Inside the book opens with a book plate on the front paste down, but there is no other writing or markings of previous ownership. The pages are tightly bound. They have some light spotting and occasional brown blemishes through the text but are otherwise clean and bright. Gilt edged on all sides.

In the original blue cloth binding with ornate gilt stamped decoration to the front and spine, and blind stamped to the back. Bevelled edges. All in top order. With just some light rubbing to the cloth on the corners and spine ends.
