A high quality edition of Sense and Sensibility (being Volume I of The Oxford Illustrated Novels Series in V Volumes). With many notes and illustrations. In very good condition with the original dust jacket.
Published in 1967 by Oxford University Press, this series is thought to be the most complete publication of Jane Austen's novels. Being so well regarded because it provides much more in addition to the text. There is an Introduction; many black and white illustrated plates and notes. In this volume these extras include: comprehensive notes at the end providing information on the grammar and vocabulary; an index of characters; the first page on which they make an appearance and some notes on early editions
The contents are in superb condition. Clean, bright and tightly bound pages have no writing or markings of previous ownership.
The price-clipped dust jacket is clean and smart. It has some splits along the joints which are very hard to spot. The spine has tanned in comparison to the front and back and the titles faded. The jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve and looks very smart.
A comprehensive addition to the library of the Jane Austen reader. Your copy of Sense and Sensibility will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. A gift message can be included in the parcel if desired.
H 19.5 cm x W 13.5 cm, 429 pages, 0.6 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. With the exception of a small number of countries.
