2005 Hans Christian Andersen The Complete Tales / Large Two Volume Set in Slipcase

A rare find! Being the highly desirable two volume set of The Complete Tales of Hans Christian Andersen. Published in 2005 by The Folio Society, London. With numerous illustrations in colour and line by a wide selection of the best artists to have illustrated the tales (see photos).

Illustrators include: Honor Appleton; Maxwell Armfield; Mabel Lucie Attwell; Quentin Blake; Harry Clarke; Edmund Dulac; Kay Nielsen; Arthur Rackham; Paula Rego; Chris Riddell; William Heath Robinson; Charles van Sandwyk; Rex Whistler amongst many others (45 in total).

The books are in very good condition, appearing un-read and to have scarcely been out of the box. They do have some light scratches to the dark blue on the front boards - but minor.

The slipcase box has some scuffs and a few small bumps to the back (see photos), but remains very smart and sturdy. It should continue to protect these collectable books for many more years to come.
