1973 Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift / JM Dent & Sons London / Decorative Boards / Illustrated in Colour and Line by Arthur Rackham

With the scarce dust jacket here is a lovely vintage edition of Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift. This richly illustrated version was published in 1973 by JM Dent & Sons Ltd of London. Has eight colour plates and a number of line drawings by Arthur Rackham. In very good condition.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. Has some mild tanning and a little light staining on the closed top edge (see final close-up photo). The eight colour plate illustrations are all present and good and there are further line drawn illustrations throughout.

Decorative cloth covered boards are very striking with their repeating red pattern and blue titles. Again in top order having been well protected by the dust wrapper.

The wrapper itself is also very good. It has a little fading on the spine and some mild rubbing to the corners and spine ends. It has been price-clipped on the inside flap. The jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
