1964 Little Men by Louisa May Alcott / JM Dent & Sons London / Decorative Boards / Illustrated in Colour and Line / Dust Wrapper

With the scarce dust jacket here is a lovely vintage edition of Louisa May Alcott's Little Men. This illustrated version was published in 1964 by JM Dent & Sons Ltd of London. Has four colour plates and a number of line drawings by Harry Toothill. In good condition.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. Has a scuff, removing the top surface in the top corner of the front free endpaper (see final close-up photo). The four colour plate illustrations are all present and good and there are further line drawn illustrations.

Decorative cloth covered boards are very striking with their repeating green pattern. Again in top order having been well protected by the dust wrapper.

The wrapper itself is also very good, with a few very faint dark marks. It has some fading on the spine and some mild rubbing to the corners and spine ends. It has been price-clipped on the inside flap. The jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
