1963 1st Edition, 5th Impression - The Horse and His Boy by CS Lewis

In very good condition here is a first edition (fifth impression) copy of The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis. The fifth book in The Chronicles of Narnia. The very first edition was published in 1954, with this later impression being from 1963. The contents are in excellent condition. Still has the original dust jacket, this has some nicks and tears along the top. Otherwise clean, bright and un-faded.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound, with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. With map endpapers, black and white plate frontispiece, and many line drawings by Pauline Baynes.

In the original price-clipped dust wrapper. This has some nicks and chips along the top and bottom edge. With some loss to spine ends and corners, and one small area at the top inner flap. One slightly larger 1.5 cm tear to the top edge. The scarce jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
