1950 King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table - Illustrated Vintage Book

Here is a vintage copy of King Arthur and His Knights of the Round Table. Published in 1950 by Macdonald, London. Excitingly illustrated in colour and line by Florian. With the original dust wrapper and also decorative boards. Contents in super condition - with some wear to the wrapper. Condition in detail below. A charming vintage book.

Contents: The Coming of Arthur; Sir Lancelot du Lake; Sir Gareth of Orkney; La Cote Mal Taile; Sir Tristram and La Belle Isolde; Sir Galahad and the Quest of the Holy Grail; Elaine the Fair Maid of Astolat; The Passing of Arthur.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. No inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. Colourful pictorial endpapers, frontispiece and six plates. There are then a number of black line illustrations in the text. The top closed edge is tinted red.

The dust wrapper has some edge wear with some nicks. Has some small tears to the bottom edge around the spine which have been professionally reinforced on the reverse side. A faint dark mark on the bottom of the spine. Mild fading to the spine titles, otherwise remains clean, bright and colourful. The jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removeable plastic protective sleeve (not pictured), and looks very presentable indeed.
