1943 Edible Fungi by John Ramsbottom / King Penguin, London / First Edition / 16 Superb Full-Page Colour Plates / King Penguin Number 13

With excellent illustrations, here is a vintage copy of Edible Fungi by John Ramsbottom, Keeper of Botany, British Museum (Natural History). A King Penguin first edition from 1943. Number K13 in the series. The first half of the book has information about edible fungi and a description of each of the fungi in the following sixteen colour plates.

The papered board covers and spine have a striking design to front and back. One small indent on the front just above the titles. Slight tanning to the spine and rubbing to spine ends. Otherwise clean and smart.

Inside the contents are clean and tightly bound. No inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. All sixteen colour plates are in top order.

Your King Penguin edition of Edible Fungi will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card and message.
