Here is a vintage copy of Tales From Shakespeare by Charles and Mary Lamb. Undated but looks to be from around the 1930s. Published by Ward, Lock & Co., London. With the original attractive dust wrapper.

The Tales from Shakespeare were designed to make the stories of Shakespeare's plays familiar to younger readers. Mary Lamb was responsible for the comedies, while Charles wrote the tragedies.

Contents: Hamlet, The Tempest, Midsummer Night's Dream, The Winter's Tale, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Merchant of Venice, King Lear, Cymbeline, Macbeth, All's Well That Ends Well, The Taming of the Shrew, The Comedy of Errors, Measure For Measure, Twelfth Night, Timon of Athens, Romeo and Juliet, Pericles, Othello.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. With tanning and spotting around the closed outside edges. Has a bookplate on the front paste down (see photos) but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. 

In the original eye-catching dust wrapper. This has some edge wear with some splits and loss to the jacket at the spine ends and corners (see photos). With fine spotting to the front and back and tanning/spotting to the spine. The price-clipped wrapper has now been protected for the future by the addition of an archival removable plastic sleeve.
