1930s Oliver Twist and Sketches by Boz by Charles Dickens / Vintage Hardback Book in Good Condition / Illustrated / Waverley & Co., London

In good condition here is a striking vintage edition of Oliver Twist bound here with Sketches by Boz by Charles Dickens. Undated but published in the 1930s by The Waverley Book Company, London. Richly illustrated with many black and white plates which are reproductions of early illustrations (see photos).

Inside the pages are good being clean, bright and tightly bound - with just the occasional dark handling mark. The top closed edge has some toning, with some spotting to the other two sides. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

This is a well-produced, large book in beautiful red decorative cloth covered thick boards. With blind stamped decoration to the front and back, and gilt to the spine. With a little rubbing to the cloth at the corners and spine ends and with a couple of very faint light marks.
