1930s Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll / Clowes, London / Illustrated / Vintage Hardback Book

A charming 1930s edition of Lewis Carroll's two works Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. Undated but published in the 1930s by William Clowes and Sons, London. With a colour frontispiece and eight further black and white illustrations by J Morton Sale.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. With no writing or marks. The closed outside edges have some spotting (see photos). The top closed edge is tinted orange to match the boards. All of the illustrations are present as called for. The book has developed a mild lean over time.

In sunshine yellow cloth covered boards. Also in good order. Has some rubbing to the cloth at the corners to reveal boards beneath (see final close-up photo). Has some very slight rubbing also to the cloth at the spine ends. With some tanning to the cloth on the spine with a few faint marks.
