1930s A Christmas Carol - Plus Other Christmas Stories - Illustrated Vintage Edition

A super vintage edition in good condition. A comprehensive collection of a good number of Charles Dickens' stories including A Christmas Carol and four of his other Christmas stories known as The Christmas Books. Also included are Reprinted Pieces, Master Humphrey's Clock etc. The stories all have black and white reproductions of some of the famous illustrations by John Leech (see photos). In dark brown faux leather, a hard-wearing and well-made vintage edition produced by Odhams Press Ltd, London in the 1930s. More details below.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or any other markings of previous ownership. Has a cracked hinge opposite the half-title page, but in no way effecting the binding of the text block which is good and strong. The top of the closed page edges are tinted brown.

The dark-brown faux-leather backed boards are in very good order. Has rubbing around the extremities. Otherwise a clean, smart and square book.
