A wonderfully illustrated large format children's book. The Everyday Fairy Book by Anna Alice Chapin. Undated but published in 1929 by J Coker & Co., London. With seven wonderful large colour plates by Jessie Willcox Smith (see photos). The contents and plates are in good condition. With a bit of wear to the boards, detailed below.

Inside the pages are in very good condition for a book of this age being clean and tightly bound. All of the plates are present and in good condition. Has a tear to the front page margin, but nowhere near the text. With a book plate on the front paste down but no other writing or markings of previous ownership.

In papered thick boards with red cloth spine. The front board and illustration are clean and bright. Has chipping to the paper around the outside edges and corners to reveal boards beneath in places. With some scratches to the surface of the boards. Has one small brown blemish to the rear board next to the spine. With a little rubbing and fraying to the cloth on the spine ends.
