1920 A Book of Dovecotes by A Cooke / TN Foulis, London / Richly Illustrated / Fascinating History, Architecture and Location Guide

In very good condition here is a fascinating antique copy of A Book of Dovecotes by AO Cooke. Published in 1920 by TN Foulis, London. Extensively illustrated with a mixture of tipped-in colour plates, line drawings and black and white photos.

An interesting look at the variety and architecture of British dovecotes. Many of which will now have disappeared.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has a bookplate and inscription to the front paste down (see photos), with tanning to the front free endpaper opposite. Also has a couple of inked marks on the rear paste down. Otherwise in top order.

In lilac cloth over boards, with deeper purple titles to the front, and gilt to the spine. Again in excellent condition. Has just a little rubbing to the corners and a faint stain to the bottom corner of the lower board (see photos).
