In very good condition, here is an antique copy of Oliver Twist and Christmas Books by Charles Dickens. Undated, but was published in 1912 by A&F Pears Ltd in their "Pears" Library, to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Dickens. More details below.

The Christmas Books comprise the five Christmas novellas: A Christmas Carol; The Chimes; The Cricket and the Hearth; The Battle of Life and The Haunted Man.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. No inscriptions or markings of previous ownership. With a few folded corners and nicked edges. Toning and spotting along the top edge. Has a black and white frontispiece illustration to Oliver Twist, plus one black and white plate in A Christmas Carol.

Attractive light-blue cloth over boards have navy-blue Art Nouveau decoration to the front and spine, and gilt titles. In very good order - clean and smart. Has a little rubbing/rounding to the corners and spine ends/hinges, and a small nick to the cloth on the bottom front edge. The odd light mark to the cloth. Has a small dent half-way down the spine - but all minor and this is a lovely book.
