Scarce. A beautifully illustrated and decorated antique hardback copy of The Irish Fairy Book by Alfred Perceval Greaves. Published in 1925 by T Fisher Unwin, London. With a colour frontispiece and intricate romantic line drawn plates. The contents are in good condition, with fading to the cloth. Condition in detail below.

A classic anthology of Celtic folklore compiled and edited by the Anglo-Irish poet and folklorist Alfred Perceval Graves. First published in 1909 (this copy being a fourth impression), it remains a foundational text for anyone interested in traditional Irish storytelling, serving as a snapshot of the late 19th and early 20th-century Celtic Revival.

Inside the book opens onto the colour frontispiece, else illustrations are line-drawn. With the occasional dark handling mark. No inscriptions or markings of previous ownership.

Grey cloth over boards have white and blue decoration to the front and spine. The grey on the spine having sun-faded, and with a little fading also around the edges of the bottom board. The remaining decoration on the spine is bright. Mild rubbing and rounding to the corners and spine ends.
