1896 Of the Decorative Illustration of Books Old and New by Walter Crane / George Bell & Sons, London / Richly Illustrated / Fine Binding

In excellent condition here is a beautiful copy of Of the Decorative Illustration of Books Old and New by Walter Crane. Published in 1896 by George Bell & Sons, London. Richly illustrated throughout and in a more recent fine leather binding. 

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. There are multiple black and white illustrations of some of the finest artwork for books ever created, including the likes of the Kelmscott Press. 

Beautifully bound in thick boards with marbled papered sides and dark brown Moroccan leather spine, with five raised bands and gilt titles. The binding is a lot more recent than the book which dates back to 1896. It has been very well looked after and there are no condition points to note.
