Offering an engaging introduction to Britain’s native and naturalised trees. This accessible reference work blends clear botanical description with gentle natural‑history commentary, making it a favourite for readers who enjoy traditional countryside guides.

Ideal for collectors of British tree identification, woodland natural history, and illustrated field guides, as well as anyone who appreciates good nature writing.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has spotting and a few faint dark marks to the early pages, and spotting to the closed outside fore-edge. Otherwise super. This copy has not been written in, and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

Petrol-blue cloth covered boards have gilt decoration to the front and spine. Clean, smart and un-faded. With rubbing to the cloth on the corners and spine ends, and a few light scuffs. A light mark near the tail of the spine. The gilt decoration remains shiny bright.
