In good condition, here is an antique copy of Mrs AB Marshall's Cookery Book. Undated but being an early reprint of the first edition in the same binding. With 125 black and white illustrations and pages of wonderful vintage adverts.

Mrs Marshall's Cookery Book is a significant work in the history of culinary arts, first published in 1888. Agnes Bertha Marshall, was a British cook, culinary instructor, and entrepreneur and innovator. Known as one of the most influential cookbooks of the Victorian era, it offers a comprehensive guide to cooking techniques, recipes, and food presentation.

Mrs. Marshall was a pioneer in popularizing ice cream in Victorian society. She invented a machine called the "ice cream freezer" that made ice cream preparation quicker and more efficient. She is also thought to be the inventor of the ice cream cone or cornet.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. There is some mild staining to the top edge of a few of the pages (see the last couple of photos), but this is minor and overall the pages are very good indeed for a cookery book of this age.

Dark green cloth covered boards have gilt titles to the front and spine. With a few light scuffs and marks to the boards. Has rubbing to the corners and spine ends. Rubbing also and a couple of small holes in the cloth on the spine joints. Firmly and tightly bound with no cracked hinges.
