1873 Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne - Early US Antique edition

In very good condition, here is an early US edition of Around the World in Eighty Days by Jules Verne. Undated but published in 1873 by Porter and Coates. With black and white illustrations and a decorative cloth binding. Re-backed.

Inside the pages are clean with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Tightly bound having been re-backed. With some scuffing to the plain brown endpapers. Has a black and white frontispiece with tissue-guard plus another ten black and white plates. With a little tanning to the closed outside edges.

Terracotta brown cloth over boards have black decoration to the front, and gilt to the spine. In top order. Has some slight rubbing and rounding to the corners and some very light, faint rubbing - but minor. Black and gilt decoration remain bright and this is an attractive volume.
