1859 Our Woodlands, Heaths and Hedges by WS Coleman / Routledge, Warner & Routledge, London / With Eight Superb Colour Plates / Antique

In very good condition, here is a superb antique copy of Our Woodland, Heaths and Hedges A Popular Description of Trees, Shrubs, Wild Fruits etc., With Notices of Their Insect Inhabitants. Unbelievably this copy was published in 1859 by Routledge, Warner & Routledge, London. Making it 166 years old! It in no way looks to be of that age. With eight superb colour plates (see photos).

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. With no writing nor any other markings of previous ownership.

Blue cloth covered boards have ornate stamped decoration to the front and back, plus gilt decoration and titles to the spine. Again all in top order. With a little rounding of the cloth at the corners and some chipping and some nicks to the cloth at the head of the spine. The gilt on the spine is shiny bright.
