At 171 years old and in good condition here is a thick, pocket-sized antique copy of The History of the Discovery and Conquest of America by William Robertson. Published in 1853 by Milner and Sowerby of Halifax, England. With two-folding maps which are also in very good order. Please note the size measurements of this pocket-sized book below.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound. Has a couple of inked inscriptions on the early pages. All edges are gilt. The two maps are: the West Indian Islands and Countries Adjacent; and Mexico or New Spain. With a portrait frontispiece of the author and an illustrated title page, else unillustrated.

Blue cloth covered boards have ornate blind stamped design, with ornate gilt decoration to the front, back and spine. Has some light rubbing to the cloth on the corners, joints, and rubbing plus a little fraying to the spine ends.
