c1908 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll / Illustrated by Pears and Robinson in Colour and Line / Beautiful Pink Antique Book

In good condition, here is a super pink antique hardback copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Undated but with an inscription from 1908. Published by Collins Clear-Type Press, London. With lovely illustrations by Charles Pears and TH Robinson. Being a colour frontispiece and title page plus three further colour plates along with a number of black and white line drawings.

Really unusual in the lovely pink and I can find no other copy for sale anywhere.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with light tanning to the endpapers and outside page edges. Has the above-mentioned neatly inked inscription on the front paste down, but no other writing or markings of previous ownership. With a few folds/nicks to page edges and one slightly larger closed tear to the bottom of one page. Has a thin faint dark mark to the fore-edge of the first few pages, but minor. The book has developed a very slight lean over time.

In absolutely gorgeous pink cloth covered boards with green and orange decoration to the front and spine, and with gilt titles. In top order for the age of the book. With just a little rubbing to the green on the front and the slightest of rubbing to the corners and spine ends. The gilt is shiny bright.
