c1900 Swiss Family Robinson by JR Wyss / George Routledge & Sons, London / Very Attractive Antique Edition / 95 Wood Engraved Illustrations

Here is a very attractive antique edition of The Swiss Family Robinson by JR Wyss. This richly illustrated version is undated but would have been published by George Routledge & Sons, London around 1900. Has ninety-five wood engraved illustrations (see photos).

Inside the pages are tightly bound with no writing or inscriptions. They have the occasional bit of tanning and spotting. With some brown blemishes to the closed outside fore-edge (see close-up photo). 

Orange cloth covered boards have lovely floral decoration to the front and spine, and gilt titles. In good condition. The front and back are excellent with no real condition points to note. The spine has faded a little in comparison to the bright front and there is some rubbing and chipping to the cloth at the spine ends, where there are a few small splits and a little loss (see final close-up photo).
