In good condition here is a lovely antique copy of Greenhouse Management For Amateurs - Descriptions of the Best Greenhouses and Frames, With Instructions For Building Them; Particulars of the Various Methods of Heating; Illustrated Descriptions of the Most Suitable Plants; With General and Special Cultural Directions; And All Necessary Information For The Guidance of the Amateur. By WJ May. Undated but would have been published around 1900 by Upcott Gill, London. With many black and white illustrations/diagrams.

Contents: Greenhouses and Frames; Heating; Insects; Cultural Directions; Dictionary of Plants; Monthly Calendar; Monthly List of Plants in Bloom in the Greenhouse.

Inside the pages are clean and tightly bound with no writing or markings of previous ownership. The top closed edge is tinted brown, with some spotting to the other two sides. Has a cracked hinge in the middle, but in no way effecting the binding of the text block which is good and strong. With a couple of vintage advertisements at the end.

Light-brown cloth covered boards have a charming falling leaf design, with glasshouse title block and gilt titles. Again in good order. Slight bumping to bottom corners. A little rubbing to the cloth on the corner tips and spine ends. With a couple of small splits in the cloth at the head and tail. A couple of light marks on the rear board. The gilt has remained bright and this is a lovely looking book.
