c1900 Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens / NOT A Christmas Carol / Illustrated Antique Book / Leather Binding / In Good Condition

In good condition, here is a leather-bound antique copy of Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens. Undated but would have been published in the early 1900s by Chapman & Hall, London. With eight black and white illustrations.

Includes A Christmas Tree; The Holly-Tree Inn and The Seven Poor Travellers amongst the Christmas tales. These are Christmas short stories and so do not include the longer novella A Christmas Carol. There are twenty-one short stories in total.

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or other markings of previous ownership. Has just some very faint light staining to the top edge of the opening first couple of pages, but minor (see photos). Gilt edged along the top.

In a blue leather binding with light blue cloth sides. In very good order. There is a little rubbing to the leather on the corners and some fading down the spine hinge on the front (see photos). The spine is in good condition, with five raised bands and gilt flowers in each compartment. With just the odd light scuff and faint mark to the leather. The gilt is shiny bright and this is a lovely antique book.
