Black Beauty by Anna Sewell and Also Stories From The Arabian Nights / 1930s Odhams Press, / Excellent Condition Vintage Book

An attractive volume containing both Anna Sewell's Black Beauty and in the second half Stories From The Arabian Nights. Dating from the 1930s, published by Odhams Press Ltd, London. In excellent vintage condition. Appears un-read.

Striking red blind patterned cloth covered boards are in top condition with no sign of wear. The spine is also in excellent condition with shiny gilt titles that look eye-catching on the vintage book shelf.

This is an unillustrated edition, however there is a portrait frontispiece of Sewell (see photos). The pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing, marks or signs of previous ownership. There is no tanning or foxing inside this volume at all. The top of the closed page edges are tinted red. The first half of the volume is Black Beauty and the second half contains stories from The Arabian Nights including: Aladdin; Sinbad The Sailor and Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.
