2002 Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell / The Folio Society, London / With Twenty Illustrations and Slipcase Box / Very Good Condition

In very good condition here is a lovely vintage copy of Wives and Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell. This edition was originally published by The Folio Society in 2002, with this copy being one of those first editions. With a colour frontispiece and nineteen black and white illustrations (see photos). Still in the original slipcase box - also in top order, with just one scuffed area to the bottom corner where it looks as if a sticker/label has been removed (see final photo).

Produced to the usual high quality standards to be expected of The Folio Society on Caxton Wove paper. Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing or marks.

In a beautifully decorative cloth binding with a gilt title plate.

In the original sturdy dark blue slipcase box. With just the above-mentioned scuff. Otherwise the box is clean and smart and should continue to protect the book for many more years to come.
