Here is a lovely vintage edition of George Macdonald's well-loved fantasy story The Princess and the Curdie. This richly illustrated version was published in 1951 by JM Dent & Sons Ltd of London. Has eight colour plates and a number of line drawings by Charles Folkard. With a few mild condition points to note, detailed below, but remaining a charming copy.

Inside the pages are in good condition being clean, bright and tightly bound. Has the odd crease and occasional very faint brown blemish. With a small green ink spot at the top of the closed fore-edge (see final photo). Has a bookplate on the front paste down and a purple school library stamp on the opposite front free endpaper. The eight colour plate illustrations are all present and good and there are further charming line drawn illustrations throughout. Over time the book has developed a mild lean.

Decorative cloth covered boards are very striking with their repeating deep pink pattern and blue titles. With some slight rounding to the corners.

A super introduction to a classic. Your copy of The Princess and the Curdie will be wrapped with care in tissue and ribbon* and sent well packaged. I am always happy to add a gift card with a message if desired.

H 20.5 cm x W 15.5 cm, 238 pages, 0.43 kg. I dispatch worldwide daily from the UK. With the exception of a small number of countries.

* If you would prefer for your book not to be decoratively wrapped but sent simply in the protective packaging please add a note to the order.
