In good condition, here is a lovely vintage hardback copy of Jane Austen's Emma. This version of her classic novel was originally published in 1950 by Reader's Union, London. With sixteen superb illustrations in colour by CE Brock which are some of the finest for any edition of Austen's novels. A super copy still in the original dust jacket. 

Inside the pages are clean, bright and tightly bound. Has a couple of very faint marks on the closed top edge, but minor. All sixteen colour plates are present and in excellent condition. This copy has not been written in and there are no other markings of previous ownership.

The dust jacket is also good condition. It has some mild edge wear and the spine has tanned in comparison with the bright front and back, with one small faint brown blemish half-way down. The jacket has now been protected for the future by the addition of a removable plastic sleeve.
