A super vintage King Penguin 1st Edition from 1947. Number 35 in the series. The first half of the book has interesting spider facts, diagrams, information on spider behaviour and physiology. The second half of the book has 24 fantastic full page colour plates of spiders and includes their Latin name and a drawing of their actual size to scale (see photos). In excellent condition - with some fading to the back cover being the only condition point to note.

Papered board covers, with superb spider and web illustration, have fared well over the years. Just the above-mentioned fading of the light brown on the back, otherwise superb condition for a King Penguin of this age.

Pages excellent, with no writing or other markings of previous ownership.
